Health Guarantee & Contract

 

Mockingbird Hill Kennel guarantees this puppy to be free of all life threatening communicable diseases for a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of the puppy stated on this record.  It is the new owners responsibility to take this pup to their veterinarian in the first 7 days after receipt to set up a schedule for immunizations and de-wormings that their veterinarian feels are appropriate and to have a well puppy check for this puppy.  Failure to do so will make this guarantee null & void.  Your puppy is registered through AKC.    If you have a problem call Karey.  She will be of help.  Both gerardia & coccidia  are caused by the stress of shipping and can be treated very easily.

     Mockingbird Hill Kennel also guarantees this puppy to be free of life threatening genetic defects until the puppy reaches the age of two years.  Should a problem occur, Mockingbird Hill Kennel will replace the puppy or give $200 towards surgery if it becomes necessary.  The client is responsible for shipping charges should we replace the puppy.  We do not cover skeletal defects on dogs who have not been fed dog feeds that do not meet the standards for correct skeletal growth. 

          If this puppy displays any indication of poor health within the first 10 days we must be contacted and the puppy must be taken to a Veterinarian for any necessary treatment.  Failure to do so will cause this guarantee to become null and void.  Please contact us and your veterinary.  We are here to help if you need us.  We remind you that a health record is provided by us to you.  Please take it to your vet so that you are not charged for unfair charges.  

     We guarantee that all shots and de-worming have been done that is stated on the Veterinary Record.

     It is strongly recommended that all puppies be neutered or spayed.  Doing so will cut down on the amount of unwanted pets.  It is a wonderful thing to bring young puppies into this world, however we suggest that they enter the world under the qualified direction of professional breeders who know what to do when problems occur, know the proper medications to give and can give the proper socialization to each and every individual puppy.

     Show/ Breed  Puppies are sold with full breeding rights.  An up-charge of $500 will be added to the price.  You must keep us informed of all titles earned and provide us with a link to win photographs.  Anyone wishing to have Genetic Testing done before purchase may do so by purchasing through Paw Print Genetics, must send the kit to us.  We will swab the pup and send the test back to the Paw Print.   We do not guarantee Genetic Tests after the puppy leaves our facility.

We expect that by purchasing this puppy from us that you agree to the following guidelines: 

    The name "Mockingbird" will appear beginning the name of the puppy.

    I will never overlook my responsibilities for this living being and recognize that my dog’s welfare is totally dependent on me.

    I will always provide fresh clean water and quality food for my dog.

    I will socialize my dog via exposure to new people, places and other dogs.

    I will take pride in my dog’s appearance with regular grooming. 

    I will recognize the necessity of basic training by teaching my dog to reliably sit, stay and come when called. 

    I will take my dog to the vet regularly and keep all vaccinations current.

    I will pick-up and properly dispose of my dog’s waste.

    I will make sure my dog is regarded as an AKC Canine Good Citizen by being aware of my responsibility's to my neighbors and to the community.

    I will ensure that the proper amount of exercises and mental stimulation appropriate for my dog’s age, breed and energy level is provided.

    I will ensure that my dog has some form of identification. ( Microchip, collar tags, or tatoo.)

    I will adhere to local leash laws, State, & USDA Laws.
