Pocomo Pet Ranch

We are so excited!  We have leased the state of the art boarding kennel here in Bolivar.  Now known as Pocomo Pet Ranch, we will be boarding dogs and kitties in this upscale facility. 
And, it will be home to our show dogs, our mothers-to-be, and our puppies.

Mockingbird Hill Kennel

We are proud of our facilities at Mockingbird Hill.  We have an open air kennel that is spacious and gives every dog lots of room both inside the houses and out.  Some of the pens are limestone; others are on concrete.  Puppies are housed with their mama's and can come out of their beds when they are old enough and wish to explore their surroundings.  Mommies  & Daddy's have a large grass play yard for exercise, and 40 acres to roam when momma Karey is in attendance.  Dog's are brushed and groomed and are social.  We work daily with new puppies to make sure that every puppy leaving us to a new home is worth it's weight in gold to it's new owner.  We give complete veterinary care to every dog here and we are licensed and inspected by the Missouri Dept. of Agriculture, & the American Kennel Club.

NEWS UPDATE 5/23/2011!!!


For those of you who wish to register your AKC Mini Aussies in to the new breed, you are now asked to download the form below!!!!  Please mail it this week!!!

We are now forming the new club, writing the "Breed Standard" & working with AKC to make the transition.  If you are not already AKC registered, you will need to register your dog with NAMASCUSA to become a part of the Miniature American Shepherd breed.  You can do that by going to the new web site at www.mascusa.org  

For those of you who are Australian Shepherds of the small variety and AKC registered, or AKC registered larger dogs who are being used in a Mini breeding program, you are now asked to download the certificate from the MASCUSA web site,  sign it and include a copy of your AKC registration papers.  Then you will send the copies and the forms directly to AKC for inclusion in to the Miniature American Shepherd Breed.  Please use one form per dog.  They will issue new AKC papers at no charge to you with the same registration numbers as you had as an Australian Shepherd with the new breed name.
